Current Projects:
April 12th-20th: Yet another LKNB Relief crew headed to NOLA, to perform home repairs and rebuilds, social work, and hopefully make some new connections. Volunteers are welcomed with open arms, accomadations and food will be taken care of and all you have to do is either fly, drive, or arrange a carpool to get to NOLA. Unfortunately we are unable at this moment to cover the cost of transport. Click here to Volunteer.
Estimated Cost: $6,000.00
Date TBA: R & D is currently underway for a future volunteer, emergency, community, and possible homeless shelter. This building will be built using renewable resources, designed with energy efficiency in mind as well a storm proof building.
Estimated Cost: Currently under R & D
We are in the process of begining to collect used ink cartridges and old cell phones, using the revenue to help build a stronger, more sustainable New Orleans.
How To Help: We need good solid locations to place our collection boxes and a small poster.
Currently: We are trying to create awareness of the current status in the 7th Ward New Orleans, many people do not realize that even two years later the community is still in despair.
